In soccer, a game is restarted in a number of ways depending on where the ball left the field. When the ball goes over the goal line at either end of the field, then the only way to bring the ball back into play is through a corner kick or goal kick.

The strike: As your movement continues your right (striking) foot will lift from the ground and begin its approach towards the ball. Kicking is a single leg action. The stance leg needs to be able to perform an independent squat and deceleration to enhance stability allowing the kicking leg to have enough power for the kick. Performing a dynamic single leg squat mimics the same action used in kicking.
